For the last 33 years, the Pioneer Day festival has been a proud part of Lafayette County Florida.

Every year thousands of people join Mayo in the celebration of the pioneer spirit that made America and the South great. You are welcome to join this year's festival on the second weekend in October.

We are pleased to announce that the Pioneer Day Festival will be held on two days this year starting Friday evening, October 12th and all day Saturday, October 13th, 2012.

2012 looks to be even better than before as we work to return to the theme of the original Pioneer Day celebration when goods were hand-crafted by the early settlers of Lafayette County.   We are planning canning and craft demonstrations, re-enactments, and of course, fun for the whole family, so make plans to attend this years festivities!
