 After much planning and designing, Lafayette County will soon open a brand-new 6,500 square foot library. The new library on State Road 51 and Bloxham Street was made possible by a trust fund left to the people of Lafayette County by Mrs. Eleanor Dees. Mrs. Dees loved books and the arts and the County commissioners requested a state grant using her gift as matching funds to build a new library in her memory.
