The Pioneer Day Festival is printing a collection of stories from the history of Lafayette County and the surrounding area.

If you have a story passed down from generation to generation in your family, a story from Grandpa about the "good old days"? Or even Granny's famous biscuit recipe?

Share your story with everyone by submitting it to the Pioneer Day Festival! The history of Lafayette County, Our History, is worth preserving!

The personal stories of struggles, adversity and joy of our families is the true measure of our history! It is the people of our hometown that make it great and what better way of preserving that history than by sharing it?

Do it right away, as the deadline for submissions is September 15th, 2007.

The Pioneer Day Committee is a part of the Lafayette County Historical Society and a portion of the sales of the gazette will go toward the construction of Lafayette County Museum

If you would like to advertise in the Pioneer Day Gazette, please contact Leta Hawkins at (386) 294-2705 for pricing information.
