Ø NEW Arts & Crafts Vendors will provide a list of
merchandise you plan to sell with your application and
if available a photo of your booth set up.
Ø NEW Food Vendors
must include a list of food items you plan to sell with your application and a photo of your booth set
up.
Ø Craft Spaces are 12 by 12
feet, Food Spaces are 12 by 24 feet, and the size varies on Recreational
Spaces.
Ø Show Hours: Friday 7-10 pm (Gospel
Show) Saturday 10:30 am-6:00 pm. We ask
Vendors not to begin break down until the listed closing time for that day.
Ø Food Vendors are encouraged
to open Friday evening for the Gospel Show. This year there is no additional booth fee for Friday night.

The Pioneer Day Committee is pleased to invite you to
participate in our Annual Pioneer Day Festival in Mayo,
Security
will be provided on Friday and Saturday during the event for the convenience of
our vendors. During the event, the Lafayette County Sheriffs Department will
have a

to safety concerns raised by the Sheriff Department of Lafayette County, please
be aware the following items are NOT allowed to be sold
during Pioneer Day Festival.
Ø This is a non-alcoholic event.
Ø Poppers, fire crackers or
any explosive device, regardless of strength.
Ø Any item that creates a
difficult to clean by-product such as Silly String or Confetti.
Ø Slingshots, wrist rockets or
other human powered projectile weapons.

The 2012
This year the chamber members
and other members of the community have requested that the Pioneer Day Festival
become less commercial and return to the more historical and handmade theme of
years gone by.
To this end we will not be
accepting the amount of buy/sell merchandise as has been done in the past. We
hope to eliminate excessive duplication of merchandise. We want to focus on
work that has been created by the artist, crafts that are handmade, and
merchandise of the period. Plants will be accepted.
All applications will be
reviewed by the Pioneer Day Committee. A final determination of eligibility
letter will be sent to the vendor within seven to ten days from the receipt of
the application.
We have added a new “Recreation
Space” category for kid games, rides and activities.
This year’s applicants will
be required to provide a photo of their work and booth set up. Food vendors
will also need to provide menus with their application.
